elements of your body
meditation 31

Imagine the elements

forming your body

(and the world):

each growing from subtle

to subtler

to supremely subtle . . .

each absorbed

into its subjacent substrate . . .

in an undifferentiated form . . .

The Supreme State

is revealed.

(Carry this on

in all

four states

of consciousness:

waking,

dreaming,

dreamless sleep,

and the fourth,

beyond dreamless sleep.)

Notes:

It is beautiful to see how sincerely this generation, singing this song, feel about the Earth they have inherited.

This is Verse 54 of the scripture.

I refer readers to Swami Lakshmanjoo's Manual for Self Realization, which explains how each element is soluble and dissolves into its immediately subjacent, sibling substrate, for instance:

earth,

soluble

and dissolving

into water . . .

soluble

and dissolving

into fire . . .

soluble

and dissolving

into air . . .

soluble

and dissolving

into space . . .

soluble

and dissolving

into

the Supreme State. . .

for it is beautiful

how this wisdom

for living

describes, also

the process

of leaving the body . . .

similarly to how syllables

dissolve

into silence . . .
