meditation 75
Consciousness is the same
in all
the embodied.
There are no preferences
in this.
Ponder deeply
on this
with your whole being.
You transcend
the manifestation.
Note:
This is Verse 100.
This 1974 – 1975 summation by Swami Lakshmanjoo and Pandit Dina Nath Muju is more succinct than in Swamiji's commentary in his Manual for Self Realization (John Hughes, ed.).
It is also shorter than Jaideva Singh's translation in his Yoga of Delight, Wonder, and Astonishment.
Its brevity results from Pandit Muju and Swami Lakshmanjoo's not mentioning insects and other creatures that have consciousness.
However, Lakshmanjoo, in his Manual for Self Realization, and Singh, in his Yoga of Delight, Wonder, and Astonishment, mention insects as bearers of consciousness, and Singh mentions a pertinent comment from a 10th-century exegetical antecedent, Kṣemarāja.
